 Dear Beloved Church Family,

We often find ourselves walking through dark and challenging seasons. In these times of uncertainty, it can feel like we are stumbling in the shadows, unsure of which way to turn. Yet, even in the midst of darkness, there is hope—a light that shines brightly, guiding us through the darkest of nights.

"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me" (Psalm 23:4, ESV). As a church family, we are not exempt from facing trials and tribulations. We encounter moments of doubt, fear, and despair. However, in the midst of our struggles, we have a beacon of hope—Jesus Christ.

Jesus declared, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life" (John 8:12, ESV). He is the light that pierces through the darkness, illuminating our path and guiding us towards truth and righteousness. In Jesus, we find comfort, strength, and assurance, even when the shadows loom large around us.

It is during our darkest moments that the light of Christ shines most brightly. When we feel overwhelmed by the challenges of life, we can turn to Him in prayer, knowing that He hears our cries and offers His peace that surpasses all understanding. In His presence, there is healing for our brokenness, hope for our despair, and restoration for our weary souls.

As a church family, let us encourage one another to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2, ESV). Let us support one another in prayer, lifting each other up in times of need and rejoicing together in times of blessing. And let us be beacons of Christ's light in our communities, shining His love and compassion to those who are lost and hurting.

Though we may walk through dark valleys, we do not walk alone. For Jesus is with us, leading us onward towards the dawn of a new day. May we cling to His promises, trusting that His light will always overcome the darkness.

In His love and grace,

Bill Doane
