Last Sunday my message was “Tearing the Tiles Away”.  My text was taken from Mark 2:1-12.

It was a time when Jesus was in Capernaum teaching. The house that He spoke in was completely full to the point no one could enter, There was compassion in the hearts of 4 men for one of their friends which compelled them to make a special effort.  He was sick with the Palsy and they carried him so that he might have the opportunity to meet Jesus.  As they approached they found there was no possible way to enter the house.

They were determined to get their friend to Jesus so they took him up the stairs that led to the roof.  They began to tear away the grass, the mud, the clay tiles,  so they could see in the house and hear Christ’s voice.  They put forth a special effort and lowered their friend by rope from the roof into the presence of Jesus!

There are times in our lives we face problems that we may not have a clear view of the Lord.  We may feel life is hopeless until we get the clay out of the way!  Let us keep in mind that Jesus is a friend and constant Companion.  When we place our obstacles that stand in the way in our lives before Him, His tender voice speaks the wonderful words of life to us, “I will never leave thee nor forsake thee”.

They lowered the man with Palsy through the roof, but after coming face to face with Jesus he walked out the front door.  We too can have a close relationship with the Lord  by allowing Him to bear our burdens.

My Message this Sunday will be:

“When Your Cookie Crumbles, Realize God Totally Forgives You”  Text: Psalm 103:10-12

Please make a special effort to be a part of our Service.

In His Service,
